Wooldridge, Webster &
Wurlitzer - plus some
George Formby!
A very special guest appearance by
Chris Webster, bringing the magic of
George Formby to my concert at the LTOT
Heritage Centre, Peel Green, Manchester, on
26th June 2018. We were privileged to work
together in a touring show and at 'one off'
variety shows a couple of decades earlier but
this spot was our first time together after all
those years and, despite the break, and a lack
of the correct arrangements (!) we and the
audience really enjoyed our re-union.
Bournemouth Tea Dance
with Michael Wooldridge,
Emily Matthews and the
Pavilion Dance Band
A special afternoon Tea Dance to celebrate the
90th Anniversary of the Pavilion in Bourneouth,
which opened to national interest in March
1939 and continues to provide the best live
entertainment in the magnificent Theatre and
beautiful Ballroom.
The Pierre Palla Concert
Organ in Hilversum,
Holland. Michael pays
tirbute to his favourite
organist, the late
Len Rawle MBE, with The
Chattanooga Choo Choo
Len was one of the UK’s most highly regarded
players and also was responsible for saving,
restoring and advising on dozens of theatre
organ rescues all around the world. When
Michael visited this incredible organ in Holland
in June 2025, his first visit since Len’s passing
some 18-months previously, the team asked he
pay tribute to Len in his concert, as he had
helped save so many organs throughout the
Netherlands, which Michael was pleased to do,
including recreating this very special
arrangement, that Len regularly used to close
his fabulous concerts.
